Farihah Hossain

Former Research Associate

Prior to joining the Lift Each Other Up team, Farihah worked for a woman-owned social impact consulting firm in the Bay Area; conducted health policy research for the Children's Defense Fund in California; was on the founding teacher of a charter elementary school as the Transitional Kindergarten lead; was the Lead Teacher and Site Supervisor of a state preschool program; and taught second grade. She also has a variety of legal, policy, and communications experiences to further support her knowledge and passion for children and families.

Peggy Daly Pizzo

President & Founder

Peggy Daly Pizzo, M.Ed, Ed.M, is the Founder and President of Lift Each Other Up, LLC, a woman-owned company promoting and researching resilience and early care and education.

Peggy is also a Senior Policy Advisor on Early Childhood Education to state Senator Josh Becker and the Founder and Former Director of the Early Learning Project at the Stanford Graduate School of Education.

Kate Steed Hoffman

Former Research Associate

Kate is committed to developing policies and practices that support the creation of safe, resilience-promoting, and equitable spaces in early care and education for young children, families, educators, and communities. This dedication has been shaped by her lived experiences working with children in emergency settings in South East Asia; directing an afterschool program in Boston; earning her teaching license and completing coursework in child development, and serving as a lead preschool classroom teacher at a charter elementary school in Washington, D.C.

Elita Farahdel

Research Associate

Elita Farahdel is currently a sophomore at Yale University, where she is studying both Comparative Literature and Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology. She has been raised as a child of immigrant parents and a second-generation college student. In addition to her academic pursuits, she devotes her time to volunteering and teaching children how to read and write in various classroom settings and is hoping to one day become a pediatric surgeon.

Caroline Wojcik

Former Research Associate & Executive Associate

Based in Silicon Valley, Caroline joined Peggy in late 2019. She brings over fifteen years’ experience in administration, management and cross-cultural project coordination. She most recently contributed research of methods to safely reopen preschools and the push for early child care workers to be included in Tier 1B for the COVID-19 vaccine in California.
